Dublin
Built at the crossing of I-580 and I-680, with two BART stations and some of the newest housing stock in the East Bay.

Dublin sits exactly where I-580 and I-680 cross, which is why it grew the way it did — fast, recently, and outward from the freeways. Much of the city east of Tassajara has been built since 2000, so the housing stock here skews newer than almost anywhere else in this part of the East Bay.
Why people move here
- Two BART stations. West Dublin/Pleasanton is on Golden Gate Drive; the Dublin/Pleasanton terminus is one stop east. (Confusingly, that second one is physically in Pleasanton.)
- The freeway crossing. I-580 west toward Oakland, east toward the Central Valley; I-680 north into Contra Costa and south toward San Jose.
- Emerald Glen Park with The Wave aquatic center, and Fallon Sports Park on the east side — both recent, both large.
- Dublin Heritage Park & Museums keeps the 1856 Murray Schoolhouse and the old pioneer cemetery, which is most of what is left of the original crossroads settlement.
Neighborhoods
West Dublin is the older side, closer to Dublin Boulevard and the original town. East Dublin, Dublin Ranch, and Jordan Ranch are the newer planned areas climbing east toward the hills, each with their own parks and schools.
The whole city is Dublin Unified — unlike its neighbors, Dublin’s district lines and city limits largely agree.
